Today we were back working with Kwacare, in the hostels. We spent time clear a whole area of wasteland to make it usuable for the children and washing lines to be put up tomorrow. We also ahd about 150 young people at an afternoon games, worship and talk time led by Leah. It is amazing how open the young people are, they just want to be close to teh white people and touch them. We heard some tough stories today about the situation the kids face. One brother and sister live with their grandma, as there mum died from aids, and she spends all her allowance (government money) on alchol and therefore they rely on donations everyday from members of the community.
We also found out that approx 80% of the community we are working with have HIV. They have very little knowledge or help with the virus.We were giving out tracts called from HIV to life, which give information about the virus and the gospel.
Team is feeling tired,please pray for good rest, and ready to work again, in the morning and reach out with Gods heart to this community
